SAMUEL MAZUR

Originally from France, Samuel is a freelance musician and teacher based in Los Angeles, CA. From the Utopia Jazz Club in Paris to the Rose Bowl Stadium in Pasadena, he has worked with a broad array of artists such as the experimental band The Elegantes Machines (led by Francis Lassus), Taiwanese pop artist Cindy Chaw, Jazz keyboardist Russell Ferrante (YellowJackets), and producer Frank Renaudier. 

His versatility and sense of improvisation has led him to provide drums for a variety of demanding and interesting work such as Jazz big band, spoken word, music for movies, Brazilian music and much more. 

Samuel has studied under renowned teachers including Ralph Humphrey, Joe Porcaro, Jerry Steinholtz, and Raynord Carroll.

With more than twenty years of teaching  experience, he currently teaches at the Los Angeles College of Music, the Little School of Music, and for various charter schools.
